January 2014

I am going to do some monthly posts so that I can include all of my random and often unrelated cell phone pictures that don't make it into the more organized blog posts!
The pictures are all from January 2014!

Here is Annie dressed up as Doc and enjoying her new easel that she got from Grandpa and JoJo!  She is a lefty but is really ambidextrous and can do most things with either hand just like her Gaga!  I hope she inherits all of Gaga's artistic talent too!

Here is Doc checking up on Layla!  Seeing her with her paci makes her look like such a sweet baby :)

Uncle Jeffrey turned 16 and got his driver's license!!  So excited for him!

We made a special visit to Papa's office one night when he worked late!

We soaked up extra time with our family and especially Izzy and Alex while they were home from law school.  Annie looks so short and little in this pic!

Just a typical day with my little Doc fashionista!  Dress up sure is fun these days!

She and Old Baby were ready to GO!  We gave Annie this pink jeep for Christmas!
She has loved it and quickly became a great little driver!

Just chillaxin and wishing we were at the beach!

More cruising!

Sweet friends!

Pretty girl getting our day started!

Gaga and Papa got her this new trampoline for Christmas and she LOVES it!!  It is a great energy burning activity!  Mama like a few minutes to relax too and not burn energy :)

Baby Brooklyn came to visit while her Mommy and Daddy got a massage at the hotel spa!

Doc and Charlotte played at the park!

Doc worked on her t-ball skills!

Annie was obviously very into Doc and dressing up this time last year!  I love looking back at these pictures!

Girls Trip to New Orleans

Well, I am going to attempt to catch up on my blog from most of 2014.  Annie and I love reading old stories as our bedtime stories so I am not ready to let this little blog go.  So, here goes!

**********

Over a year ago, my sisters and I took a girl's trip to New Orleans!  Brad set us up in his favorite and frequented hotel the Hilton on St. Charles!  He goes to New Orleans a lot for business so he knew this was a great location and a nice hotel!

We left New Year's Day and like any good girls trip, the 5 hour car ride was one of the best parts!
The hotel was beautiful and still decorated for Christmas!

We got dressed and set out to walk to the Superdome for the Alabama vs. Oklahoma Sugar Bowl game!

We ended up with extra tickets and Elizabeth looked very stylish trying to sell them!
Notice the trolley going by in the background!

Best pic we could get amongst the sea of people and with our cell phones!

While walking around outside the Superdome, we spotted a sign for Ochsner.   We took a picture because this is one of Brad's biggest and best clients in New Orleans and we are thankful for their business and his hard work!

We ended up with great seats in the corner of the dome and enjoyed a stadium dog dinner before the game started!

We took this horrible picture but I have to include it to document it!  After the shocking loss, we decided to just call it a night and walked back to our hotel.

The next morning, we all got ready and walked to brunch a couple of blocks away at The Ruby Slipper Cafe on Canal Street. It did not disappoint!

The old building and beautiful architecture did not disappoint either!

After brunch, we walked all over town.  Here we are on Bourbon Street!

It was a cold but beautiful sunshiny day!

Next, we made our way to Jackson Square and the St. Louis Cathedral!

Love this one of all 3 of us!

We also made a must stop for beignets and coffee at Cafe Du Monde!
Whew, we took horrible pictures all weekend.

I love the beauty of New Orleans and all the old buildings!

Finally, it was time for us to hit the road back to Birmingham so we made our way back to our hotel by way of the river.  What a gorgeous spot!

We were sad to go but had another great car ride home!
We all loved New Orleans and look forward to going back again!
I am so thankful for my sisters and our little time away!
