Leslie's Baby Shower

On June 15th, we hosted a baby shower in honor one of my best friends, Leslie!  She is due with TWINS in August!!  I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that she is having two babies!

Our close-knit group of high school girl friends along with some of Leslie's law school friends and her sister hosted the shower!   It was so much fun to all be together again!  Even though most of us are in Birmingham, we don't see each other nearly enough.

Caroline's mom was generous enough to offer her house for the party!
It is beautiful and was the perfect spot!

Here is Bonnie and her five year old daughter, Maci Rose!  Wow, we are old!  We had a late morning brunch shower and our menu included cold coffee punch, mimosas, homemade breakfast casserole, cinnamon rolls, sausage balls, fresh fruits, cheese and crackers, cookies, and cake!  It was seriously yummy!  My favorite menu!

I love my high school friends!

We were catching up about our ongoing foot problems.  Again, I think we are getting too old :(

Beautiful picture of Bonnie, her mom, Tammy, and Maci Rose!

Margaret and her mom enjoying sleepy Olivia!
I love it when babies are young enough to just sleep anywhere!

Emily and the guest-of-honor, Leslie!

Mrs. Crawford and Caroline!

Leslie got so many beautiful gifts including a lot of coordinating boy and girl baby outfits!

Our high school friends and all of our moms!  I love old friends that know my family and I know theirs.    So much fun for all of us to be there together!

We had so much fun and I think the shower was a big success!
Leslie, I cannot wait to meet your sweet babies and finally know their names!  :)

Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July!!  Annie and I made her t-shirt with a couple of our playgroup friends!  Thank you Pinterest for a cute and easy idea!

One of Annie's latest words is "happy" said "hap-ee" so we were saying it all day!

This is not a real smile - I bribed her with chocolate in order to get her to stand still and smile.  So this is her first fake smile!  I love it still!  And, she lets me do pigtails every once in a while - too cute!  But, she looks like such a big girl!

Our plan for the evening was to go to Homewood where they had inflatables and activities for kids and  then stay to watch the fireworks from there.  But, it was not fun for Annie's age - only older kiddos.
So, we bailed and met my parents and Jeffrey at the end of the Baron's game.  It was so much fun and I wish we had been there the entire game!  I figured they were sold out.  We literally got to the game after it was over but before the fireworks started.  It is a beautiful stadium and I definitely want to go back!

Annie loves her family so much and was so glad to see Papa, Gaga, Uncle Jeffrey, Emmie, Izzy, and Alex!!

Sweet, sleepy baby!  She rallied later!

First time seeing fireworks!  She liked them!

The cloudy night blocked some of the fireworks.

All of us after the game!

Annie briefly running the bases with Papa!

And, one of the best videos lately - Papa and Uncle Jeffrey dancing with Annie on our walk out!

Walking out hand-in-hand with Papa - so sweet!

Annie kept telling us she was hungry the entire night.  We had already eaten dinner at home so I only brought two snack choices.  She kept refusing both.  So, on the way home, Brad got Arby's and this little nugget ate 2/3 of a regular sandwich.  She wasn't kidding about being hungry!

It was a fun night!  I love the 4th of July!

This is the beautiful coffee shop that Emily and I frequented at the beach!  Everything was yummy!
We enjoyed our mornings away with just the two of us!

We took Annie with us one morning and she also approved!

Gorgeous afternoon on the beach!

Annie was not a fan of the seaweed!
