16 Months

Annie turned 16 months on November 28th so all of these pictures are from December when she was 16 months old!  I thought for sure that I wouldn't have that many pictures that I have not already posted since I already did several Christmas posts and blogged about our trip to St. Pete too, but, I was wrong!

Here are a bunch more pictures mostly from my iPhone that capture the little moments of Annie's life at 16 months!  Like every age so far, I loved this age!  She was so sweet and oh so funny!

After her bath, she loves to run around naked for a bit in her room!  And if possible, she likes to run away from me while trying to put lotion or clothes on her!

Annie learned how to call out for Brad in the house!  She covers her mouth with her little hand which is imitating me cupping my hands around my mouth to make the sound carry!  Then, she loudly calls out "Dah!" It is so so funny and sweet!

After waking up from her nap, Annie loves to stay in her bed and play.  This day, she wanted to read Goodnight Moon to her babies!!  So so sweet!  She is showing them the mouse - her favorite!

Such a sweet, loving baby girl!  She takes such good care of her babies!

Annie was obsessed with yogurt for a while.  She could eat two Chobani cups a day if she wanted!  (Now she is not really interested in yogurt because I think she overdid it! Ha!)
She thinks this picture is so funny of yogurt all over her face when she comes across it on my iPhone! Silly girl!

She is a total girly girl!!  She loves to wear my jewelry and here she is trying on my earrings!
I love that sweet smile - she is so happy to be a big girl and just like her Mama!

We are outside as much as possible!  Annie still loves to drive anything she can!

Here we are snuggled up watching her movie before Aunt Emmie came to babysit!

Aunt Emmie took over when it was time for us to go!

One day, I did a deep clean of Annie's room.  I put the changing pad on the floor so I could wipe down her dresser, and she promptly made herself a cozy little bed!  She is so smart!

Annie loves to play catch with a ball or cup or stuffed animal!  Here she is catching!  She does very well catching as long as it is a good throw!

Brad taught Annie to do the shoulder shake a long time ago, but I finally got it on video one morning!  Such skills!

We all went together to shop for our friend Lynlee's Christmas present.
Annie was too cute finding her a perfect seat amongst the toys on the shelf!

Then she found a shopping cart just her size and followed behind us!

Drinking Mama's flax seed from a big glass!  She is great at drinking from a big glass and has her juice in a glass juice cup every morning!

At some point, Annie discovered butter and LOVES it!  Anytime I get it out to cook with, she asks for a bite or two...or three!  It's good for her so I am happy to let her have it!  This is one of the first few times she had butter and she was thrilled!   She made herself right at home sitting on the lower shelf of the console table!

Annie loves her paci, but she thought it was hysterical to put two pacis in her mouth at once!  She also still laughs at this picture when she sees it on my iPhone!  She is always trying to make us laugh by being silly!

We had a little Christmas play date with our play group!  I think this picture is so funny!  In order to get them all seated and still, we let them eat.  Unfortunately, it only resulted in fingers in their mouth!  Grayson in the blue hates group pictures for some reason :( and Campbell was very concerned about him!

The day after Christmas, Brad and I went to the movies with my entire family.  JoJo got Annie to sleep just fine at her bedtime, but then she woke up at 11:15 or so right when we got home.  She was WILD and hungry!   Daddy made Annie an egg sandwich for a little midnight snack  and then we played hide and seek and

peek-a-boo!  She was wired!

Like I said earlier, Annie loves the baby doll that we gave to her on her 1st birthday!  At this age, she really started wanting her baby to do most things with her!   Here she is asleep in my lap (before getting moved to her crib) with her baby!

And also in her bed asleep with baby!

She took right to feeding her baby with her new baby food set from Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Alex!  She looks like an old pro here!  I love seeing this sweet nurturing side of her come so naturally!

Annie also loved the bath toys we gave to her!  I lined up her bath animals here and we were practicing finding each one!  She learned them very quickly!  She can chomp like an alligator with her hands,  overlap her teeth over her lip like a beaver, and recognize a lot of the others!

Annie and Lynlee loved playing in Lynlee's new tents!

And here they are sitting in Annie's booster seat!

Here is a video of Annie enjoying her new roller coaster from Grandmommy & Granddaddy!  Love that big smile!

Aunt Emmie reading Annie books before bed at Grandmommy and Granddaddy's house!

Annie feeding her baby!

Annie loves to give Layla treats!  She knows where to find them in the laundry room!  Layla loves Annie for it too!

Annie got to be more comfortable with new people and loves going to the church nursery! I am so grateful that she is secure and comfortable!  She also does great if we have to leave her with a babysitter  which at this point is always a family member.  She hugs and kisses us goodbye without any tears!

We love you baby girl and cannot get enough of you!! Each minute of each day is a delight with you!!  We pray that you continue to always be so sweet and happy!!

A Day at the Farm

It has been such a long time since we have been to the farm, but today was a beautiful day so we decided it was a great day to go!  The entire family (minus Elizabeth & Alex who we missed so much) started off at church, then had lunch at Cracker Barrel, and finally made it to the farm!

Granddaddy was thrilled to show Annie the Farm!  She had never been.  Annie was equally as thrilled to see everything!  She loved it all!

She sure does love her Grandmommy & Granddaddy! I love both of these pictures with each of them!

Emmie and Annie watched the guys move the iron beds upstairs.

 They also wandered around outside!

Annie loves nature!  She collected rocks and sticks in her pocket and also practiced her throwing skills with both!

Granddaddy and Annie checked out the view from the upstairs bedroom!

And Annie also practiced her jumping skills!

Dad took some great photos of the cabin to document it!

The river was very full and moving fast!

After a while, we left the cabin and went to check out Dad's barn!  Annie loves to sit in Granddaddy's lap and drive with him!  So sweet!  We all used to do the same thing with Dad when we were young!  Such good memories!!

The barn is so handsome and soon to become one giant man cave!  I'm not sure that we will ever get Dad to leave!

Here is the wood rack that Dad, Jeffrey, and Alex built over the Christmas break.

And Dad's work bench.

And his tractor that Annie loved to drive (as long as it wasn't moving)!

She got really nervous once they started moving and bailed pretty quickly!

These two were big buddies all day!! I love all the sweet pictures of them together and in their matching Carhartt gear!

The day ended with sweet baby kisses!!

We had a great day enjoying the beautiful weather and seeing the progress on the farm!!   Annie was a trooper with just a 20 minute nap and then in bed by 6:00pm!  Success!

Moss Rock

On Saturday morning, Brad, Annie, Layla, and I finally made it to Moss Rock.  We have heard a lot of great things about Moss Rock and have been wanting to go for a long time.  Saturday was a gorgeous day and it was nice to get out before all the rain came that is upon us now!

There was not really a trail to follow (at least not that we discovered on this trip), but we enjoyed wandering around in the woods.  It honestly reminded me a lot of my own backyard where I grew up - a gentle downward slope, lots of trees, big boulders, and a creek / waterfall at the bottom! (There was not a waterfall in my backyard but everything else!)

This bridge was built by an Eagle Scout!  I thought he did a nice job and it made me think of Jeffrey who is hoping to one day become an Eagle Scout!

We made our way to this waterfall! So pretty!

Annie loved being in the backpack and in the woods!  She was talking up a storm with excitement!

Emily joined us and Annie was thrilled to see her as always!  We unloaded Annie to stretch her legs and have a snack!

Then, she was ready to take off again!!  I love her running!

There were cool boulders that people climb and also this natural rock tunnel!  Amazing!

Layla loved the outdoors and especially running free through the woods and the water!

Annie loves to be outside and explore nature!!
She loved collecting sticks and putting them in her pocket!

Oh, and those are pink Carhartt overalls!  I bought them for Annie to wear to the farm with my Dad!  He wears Carhartt gear and they will look great together!

We made our way back to the creek and the waterfall!

Annie loved splashing in the water,

and her favorite activity was throwing her sticks into the water and watching them race down the rocks!
She couldn't do it enough!

Brad and Annie explored the rock bluff!  It was an entire hillside that was just rocks and a few pine trees.  Very strange and very interesting all at the same time.

Another natural rock tunnel!

We had fun doing something different and getting outside!! I love that Annie is up for anything these days and especially how much she loves being outside!
